Community Impact & Outreach

Friendship Is The New Pretty 2, Inc. is deeply committed to uplifting women, children, and families through compassionate service, meaningful partnerships, and intentional community engagement. Over the years, our organization has proudly supported shelters, youth programs, and community agencies across Texas, providing resources, mentorship, and moments of joy to those who need it most.

The Children’s Shelter

FITNP² members led five educational sessions for school‑age children focused on bullying prevention, friendship, and self‑esteem. Children received friendship bracelets, treats, and games, and the organization sponsored Chick‑fil‑A meals for sixty‑three kids, creating a memorable and uplifting experience.

The Strong Foundation 

FITNP² has supported The Strong Foundation through repeated sponsorship of Kidz Times, providing snacks, mentorship, and playtime for children while their parents attended life‑skills classes.
Our donations have included:

  • Over fifty pillows and sheet sets
  • Hygiene products and cleaning supplies
  • Clothing, shoes, and personal care items
  • Toys, baby essentials, and household necessities
  • Apartment Starter Baskets for families transitioning to stability

Family Violence & Prevention Services – Battered Women & Children’s Shelter

FITNP² sponsored a joyful birthday celebration for seventy‑five children, complete with food, games, party bags, prizes, and two costumed characters. Additional support included:

  • Five Apartment Starter Baskets
    • A sponsored Fall Fest Face Painting Booth
    • Treats and ten Halloween costumes for children at the shelter

     

    SAMMinistries

    For the past four years, FITNP² has proudly sponsored Women’s Day for residents, offering hygiene products, makeovers, nail and hair services, and support for special occasions—including sponsoring a resident’s daughter for prom.
    Additional contributions include:

    • Clothing, shoes, purses, jewelry, and accessories
    • Mary Kay makeup, body lotions, and perfume
    • Breakfast and canvas art kits
    • Eighty‑six coats donated to families in need

     

    Genesis Women’s Shelter & Support (Dallas, TX)

    FITNP² donated eighty coats and sponsored a four‑course hot meal for women and children on three separate occasions. The organization also provided thirty‑two packs of Reign sanitary napkins to support essential needs.

    A New Life for a New Generation

    FITNP² contributed a $500 monetary donation for diapers and wipes, along with fifteen cases of diapers. The organization also donated ten $5 gift cards and candy bags for the Trick‑or‑Treat Festival.

    Christmas Blessing Donation

FITNP² supported a single parent with baby clothing, three cases of diapers, one case of wipes, a storage bin, and essential baby products during the holiday season.

Nonprofit Community Health Expo

FITNP² sponsored a Community Health Expo to highlight local nonprofit services and connect families with vital community resources.

FITNP² Vet Chat Community Engagement

Vet Chat Meet & Greet – Family Style

Hosted a welcoming kickoff event to introduce the Vet Chat initiative and build early connections among Women Veterans.

Mindful Practices Session – June 18, 2022

Sponsored a peer support meeting focused on stress and anxiety management through mindfulness and wellness strategies.

Résumé Writing Workshop – July 16, 2022

Provided guidance and practical tools to help Women Veterans strengthen their résumés and prepare for new career opportunities.

Health & Wellness Retreat – August 6, 2022

Hosted a restorative retreat designed to help participants relax, reset, and prioritize their mental and physical well‑being.

Financial Literacy Lunch Mixer – September 8, 2022

Sponsored a lunch‑and‑learn session focused on financial preparedness and building long‑term stability.

Painting With a Twist Mixer – October 8, 2022

Brought Women Veterans together for a creative, joy‑filled painting experience that encouraged connection, laughter, and self‑expression.

Affirmations & Well‑Being Session – November 12, 2022

Sponsored a peer support meeting centered on affirmations, social wellness, and mental well‑being for Women Veterans.

Vet Chat: Women Veterans Wellness Series (2023–2025)
Over the past three years, Vet Chat has delivered consistent, community‑building wellness programming for Women Veterans across the United States. Each year offered a blend of education, creativity, and restorative support designed to strengthen mind, body, and spirit.

2023 & 2024: Monthly Wellness Meetings
During 2023 and 2024, Vet Chat hosted monthly peer‑support and wellness sessions featuring:
• Health & Wellness Workshops
• Mental Wellness Discussions
• Financial Wellness Sessions
• Painting With A Twist: Veteran Style
• Veteran Vision Board Workshops
These gatherings created a safe, uplifting space for Women Veterans to connect, learn, and grow together.

2025: Bi‑Monthly Wellness Meetings
In 2025, Vet Chat expanded its reach by offering bi‑monthly sessions, continuing the same powerful lineup:

This shift allowed for deeper engagement and more intentional support throughout the year.

Annual Health & Wellness Retreat (2023–2025)
Each year, Vet Chat hosted a transformative Health & Wellness Retreat designed to nurture the whole‑person well‑being. Retreat activities included:
• Nutrition Workshops
• GNC Health Assessments
• Blood Pressure Checks
• Sound Therapy Sessions
• Skin Care Wellness Activities
• Mental Health Wellness Workshops
• Lunch at BB’s Tex Orleans
• A host of community resources and support services for Women Veterans
These retreats offered a restorative environment where Women Veterans could recharge, reflect, and access meaningful tools for their wellness journey.
